Specially designed for Kinderworld students

Education + AI,
starting with your child.

KinderBuddy turns the Kinderworld syllabus into games your students ask to play — Bahasa Melayu, English, Chinese and early maths.

Behind the games, AI analyses how each child learns and tells the teacher what to do next. Powered by AI.

The parents' headache

Too many apps.
None of them fit.

Every parent knows the struggle: hunting through app stores for something suitable, downloading app after app, paying expensive monthly subscriptions — and still ending up with generic content that has nothing to do with what their child learns in class.

The Kinderworld answer

The Kinderworld syllabus.
Not somebody else's.

KinderBuddy is built on Kinderworld's own syllabus — every day's teaching becomes tonight's practice, covering Ejaan, Spelling, 听写, reading and more, updated every week of the term. One app made specially for Kinderworld students, offered through the school — so parents stop searching, and stop overpaying.

What's inside

Meet the Buddies.

One app, a whole team of helpers — each Buddy takes care of one part of the Kinderworld learning week.

🎤 Why they look like an idol group. The whole app is styled after K-Pop Demon Hunters — the film our children cannot stop watching. Every buddy is a member with a real role: a main vocal, a lead dancer, a rapper, a visual, a maknae. Children are not opening a learning app; they are going backstage with their favourite group. That one idea is why they ask to practise. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Netflix or the film's creators — simply the world our children already love.

Learn with pictures and voice.

Every word comes with a friendly picture and clear audio — tap to hear it, tap again to hear it slowly, syllable by syllable. Children connect sound, picture and spelling naturally.

Tests that grow with the child.

Stage one: pick the letters. Stage two: type the whole word from memory. Confidence first, mastery second — with gentle hints, never pressure.

✍️

Real handwriting practice.

Letters, numbers and Chinese characters — children trace, then write each one stroke by stroke on screen, with the correct stroke order checked as they go. A–Z and a–z, 1 to 10, and 汉字 from 认字 to 写字.

Early maths with Momo.

Numbers, counting, shapes and simple sums — practised through the same games and stars, following the Kinderworld maths syllabus.

A story to finish.

Each completed week unlocks a chapter of the journey to Star Island. Finish the term, finish the story.

🎮

8+ mini games — more coming soon.

Word search, memory match, copy-cat and more — earned with stars, so play is always powered by practice.

A reward system kids love.

Every correct word earns stars to spend in a growing reward system — stickers today, real Kinderworld rewards next. Motivation, built in.

The bigger goal

🎒 Ready for primary school.

A dedicated preparation track for the final kindergarten year — bridging students to primary school expectations, so the big step up feels exciting instead of overwhelming.

Confident

Walks into Darjah 1 already comfortable with reading, writing and counting

Independent

Used to practising on their own — homework habits built before primary school

Loves learning

Learning feels like play, so the big step up feels exciting, not scary

Effortless for the school

Nothing to install.
Nothing to manage.

For teachers

Monitor student progress.

See each child's practice at a glance — words mastered, tests completed and where the class needs more help.

For parents

Open a link.

Works instantly on any phone, tablet or computer. No app store, no accounts, no set-up.

For children

Just play.

Ten minutes a day of joyful practice — and spelling test day stops being scary.

More in the app

And this is just
the beginning.

Built and shaped together with Kinderworld's teachers, for Kinderworld's classrooms — with KinderChat — a closed, teacher-monitored messenger for Kinderworld children only — and powerful AI features coming next: a reading coach that listens, plus insights for parents and teachers.

In the app 📚

Daily homework + revision anytime.

Teachers post what was taught today, and matching practice in the app. Fully based on the Kinderworld syllabus — not the generic content every other app in the market recycles.

In the app 🎙️

Read-aloud practice.

Children read the word or sentence out loud, and ReadBuddy listens through the microphone and gently checks their pronunciation — reading practice without needing an adult beside them.

In the app 🎁

Real rewards from Kinderworld.

Stars become real things: collect enough and redeem a pencil, a school bag and other Kinderworld goodies at school. Digital effort, real-world pride.

In the app 📈

Progress tracking.

Teachers and parents see each child's journey week by week — words mastered, tests completed, stars earned — at a glance.

Live now · AI 🧠

AI insights for parents and teachers.

KinderBuddy reads every answer a child gives — how many tries a word takes, when hints are pressed, which letter goes missing — and finds the pattern behind the mistakes. Not "12 wrong" but "four of six mistakes drop a vowel from the middle of longer words — try clapping the syllables: me-ma-sak." Teachers open a child and see it written in plain English; the class view shows which words the whole group is failing and who has gone quiet this week.

Children get their own version too — two warm sentences a day from Buddy, never a score: "You did such a super job with the short words! Next time let us try the bigger ones together." Guidance, not grades — and the findings come from your own data, with no child's name ever leaving the school's account.

Live now · safe chat 💬

KinderChat.

A closed messenger just for Kinderworld children — no strangers, no phone numbers, no downloads. A child can only message classmates at their own branch, and only children the school has registered. Every message passes a filter that removes phone numbers, addresses, links and unkind words before the other child sees them, and teachers can read every conversation in the admin page. Stickers and one-tap messages let a four-year-old join in before they can spell.

Not the open internet. No friend requests, no public profiles, no photos, no video, no way in from outside the school. The safest chat a child can have is one where everyone in it is already in their class.

Why now

🤖 AI + education.

Every school is being sold AI this year. Most of it writes worksheets. Ours does the one thing a teacher cannot do for thirty children at once — watch every single answer, notice the pattern behind the mistakes, and hand it to the three people who can act on it. We have not found another kindergarten in the country doing this — if there is one, we would love to meet them.

For the teacher

Who is stuck, who has gone quiet, which word the whole class is failing — read in ten seconds instead of marking thirty books. And not "12 wrong", but a vowel dropped from the middle of long words. The mistake arrives as a lesson.

For the student

Two warm sentences a day from their buddy, in words a five-year-old can read. Praise first, then one small thing to try tomorrow. Never a score, never a ranking, never a red mark.

For the parent

Open the app together and the same note is waiting — what went well this week, and the one word worth ten minutes tonight. Plain language, no jargon, no guessing how to help.

Written with Gemini Google's AI puts the findings into a sentence — the findings themselves come from your own data
📄 The one-page research brief What the evidence says about AI in early years — and why children under 13 never chat with a model here. Seven cited sources, printable for a board meeting. Read it ›
Findings first, Gemini second

The patterns are computed from your own data by rules we wrote and you can read. Gemini only puts them into a sentence — so it can never invent a number or a word that is not there.

No child's name ever leaves

Prompts carry findings and words, never a name, username or ID. The data stays in Kinderworld's own Google account, and every insight is stored there, not with us.

It works when the AI does not

If the connection drops or the quota runs out, the findings and the child's note still appear — written from the same rules. No feature goes dark because an API did.

Where the data lives

In Kinderworld's own account.
In Singapore.

The app and the data live in the same Google Cloud project — one the school owns. Data is stored in Google's asia-southeast1 region (Singapore, the closest Google data centre to Malaysia); the app itself is served from Google's global network on Firebase Hosting. Not on a laptop, not on my machine, not on a rented server somewhere.

🗂️ What is stored

A first name or nickname, the class and branch, and what the child answered. That is all. No photographs, no home address, no phone number, no birth date, no parent contact details. Children sign in with a username the school issues — they never have an email account.

👀 Who can see it

A teacher sees only children in their own classes. Only an admin sees the whole school. Every account change — a new student, a password reset, a branch rename — is written to an audit log with who did it and when. Parents see their own child, nobody else's.

🔒 What the app cannot do

The child's device may record what they typed; it can never award itself stars, points or a place on the chart. Every score is written by the server after checking the account is real, active and in date. A tampered phone changes nothing.

💬 KinderChat safety

Messages are screened on the server, not in the page, so nothing can be bypassed from a browser. Phone numbers, addresses, links and unkind words are removed before the other child sees them, messages cannot be edited or deleted once sent, and staff can read every thread.

🧹 Nothing is kept forever

Raw activity is deleted after 12 months and answer records after 24, automatically, every month. Only the summaries a teacher actually uses are kept. A child who leaves can be removed entirely.

🌐 How the app is delivered

Served over HTTPS from Google's global network, with a certificate issued and renewed automatically. No separate hosting company, no server for the school to patch or pay for, and no third party sitting between a child and their data. The pages themselves are static files that store nothing.

🔑 The school owns it

The Google account is Kinderworld's, not mine. The school can export everything, or delete everything, or move the whole project to another administrator, without asking anyone — designed with Malaysia's PDPA in mind from the first line.

Every buddy is its own app with its own weekly content. Each extra buddy is just RM 1 more a month — take one, take all six, the price follows what the child uses.

The more children join a version, the less each family pays

Each version — Starter (age 4), Explore (age 5), Advance (age 6) — is counted on its own. A version opens once 100 children in that age group have signed up.

PackagePer child / monthPer child / yearWhole version / year
100 students minimum to open RM 3.00RM 36RM 3,600
200 students 20% off RM 2.40RM 28.80RM 5,760
300 students and above 33% off · best rate RM 2.00RM 24RM 7,200

Those totals are for the minimum plan. The same discount applies to whichever plan a family chooses — the full stage at 300 children is RM 5.36 a child, RM 19,296 for the version. Every child pays the band rate their version has reached, so nobody is charged more for joining early, and if a version has not reached 100 children yet, nobody in it is charged at all.

The free term covers KinderBuddy Advance with SpellBuddy only — Starter and Explore, and the other buddies, open when the school is ready. After the free term, continuing costs from RM 3 per child per month for SpellBuddy with the Games Hub and Stickers at the 100-student band, dropping to RM 2 once a version reaches 300 children — a fraction of what a single generic learning app subscription costs. As bigger features arrive (AI reading coach, AI insights and more), pricing may adjust to match — but whoever signs up early keeps that rate for the year — and KinderBuddy never charges the school a licence or setup fee.

💡 Easy for everyone: the RM 36 covers a full year and can simply be absorbed into the usual term fees — RM 18 with 1st term, RM 18 with 2nd term. One small line on the existing school bill, no separate payment for parents to remember.
📅 One year at a time: a subscription runs for a full school year — that is the minimum, so the children get a whole year of weekly word lists rather than a few weeks. At the end of the year every family simply chooses again: carry on, add another buddy, or stop. No auto-renewal traps, no cancellation fee, and nothing is charged before a version reaches its 100 children.
